Mujeres Marcharan International Women’s Day March

  • 500 West Commerce Street San Antonio, TX, 78207 United States (map)

“Join us as we take the streets on March 10th to hold the 34th annual SAIWD March and Rally

Our theme this year is peace through liberation and liberation through struggle. This theme calls attention to the solidarity between the struggle against oppression particularly in our chant "From Palestine to Mexico, all the walls have got to go".

Planning meeting are currently ongoing. DM us to get involved!

International Women's Day means acknowledging the root cause of women's oppression-class society-and its centrality to the system that oppresses and exploits our class today-capitalism and the connectivity between these struggles. IWD was originally organized by socialists and women revolutionaries fighting for a better world because they recognized that without undoing and replacing capitalism we could not do away with women's oppression.

The fight for public education, abortion and reproductive rights, childcare, maternity leave, jobs, health care, immigrant rights, protecting the planet, housing, and the end of police brutality and racism are all women's issues. It is through fighting these issues that we find peace and liberation.”
